Notice: The 7th Scientific Conference of CALAS in September, 20-24,2006, in Gui-lin, Guang Xi Autonomous Region of China
Meet in Jeju Island
The value of laboratory animal is recognized as one of the most important tools in life science research at 21st century of biotechnology. Although many research units have been organized and convened on genetic/breeding, microbial monitoring and environmental control, most of them were favored for western countries not for Asian countries. Fortunately, we were able to hold the first Asian Federation of Laboratory Animal Science (AFLAS) conference at Nagasaki, Japan on May 2004. Thanks to the chair and the organizing committee, the conference was well prepared, organized, perfectly held and resulted in great success with high compliments from participating AFLAS member countries. It has been still remembered as a wonderful conference with significant interaction of interests among participants.
Now, I am preparing the 2nd AFLAS conference (Aug. 30 ~ Sep. 1) at Jeju Island, Korea, as I promised. Highly reputed Jeju Island is well known to honeymooners with spectacular natural environments and tremendous scenic views. I, personally, ask you spend time with us in Jeju Island to experience long-time memory. .................................................................................................................................................................................................. This year's conference brings together the variety of disciplines in the field of laboratory animal science and affords an opportunity for discussion of recent developments and matters of mutual interest and major relevance to the field. The AFLAS conference will cover 10 symposiums and 1 workshop. We will do everything we can to offer an attractive social program and to make sure that there is ample time for fruitful discussions but also for personal encounters with old and new friends. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................
